Enroll today to access all three courses in the Healing Hearts and Building Resilience Training Series. With this plan you will have access to:
This course explores how trauma and ACEs impact behavior and how those behaviors may present themselves in the classroom. Participants will learn strategies to address and respond to child behaviors related to trauma, discuss ways to create fully supportive teams within organizations, create safe and stable environments and to help children self-regulate and build resilience.
This training provides attendees with practical, useful strategies for working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Using best practices, science and a social-emotional framework, we look at how we can best help children (and their parents) build resilience. We also explore our own professional framework to help us uncover and explore ways we can take our work with children and families to the next level. Participants should already understand basic information related to ACES and trauma’s impact on the brain, body and behavior.
In this course you will learn about the impact of trauma on caregivers who are tending to the needs of trauma impacted children while exploring concepts of secondary trauma, vicarious trauma and burnout. Participants will also come to understand the importance of self-care in reducing or preventing the negative outcomes of trauma.
